I first met Diane 30 years ago. She was the project director at Scotrun Resort and I was a sales manager at Shawnee. At that time, the qualities that impressed me most were her willingness to share information on what was working successfully and an indomitable spirit. The lady never seemed to have a bad day.

10 years later Diane spent a few months working with me at Outdoor World Resort. One of my areas of responsibility was the sales of RVs at 6 of our campsite resorts. The former supervisor of this operation had left it in absolute shambles. Diane took over and in 2 months had the program exceeding our loftiest expectations. I've never seen anyone more organized and as before , she never seemed to have a bad day.

Recently Diane and I have been working on another venture. I fully expect it to be amazingly successful because Diane is involved and that positive attitude is still there. The innate intelligence is still present and the willingness to work hard has never left her.

There's a sport cliche that goes something like this "Great players make the players around him better just by being there". In the hospitality business world, that great player is Diane Fatkin.
